2 Days Akha Mouchee Trek

Visit tribal  villages of Akha Mouchee, Akha Cherpia,Akha Erpa

Itinerary

Day 1: Bountai – Tribal villages – Ban Terkar – B. Cherya(_/L/D)

Meet our guide at Bountai  Tourists Office. And then we take a private car from Bountai to Ban Eperjing. On the trip, we will stop to visit tribal villages of Akha Poulee, Akha Cherpia and Akha Erpa.  We arrive at Ban Eperching, village of Akha Mouchee. Picnic lunch time will be hold on the way, and we start trekking from Ban Eperjing to Ban Cherya, Akha Mouchee. Then, we continue trekking through primary forests and wet rice field, then we reach Ban Cherya, Mouchee tribe village ( in this village is famous for Green tea and whisky). If you are good at drinking Lao whisky, we recommend you try to sip with the villagers. Explore village and local lifestyles with their cultures and traditions. Overnight with family at Ban Cherya. Trekking: 3  hours. Trekking level : moderate

Day 2: Cherya village – trekking – Ban Achernampok and Ban Mouchee Nampok .

After breakfast, take photo with the host family for your memory as once you can arrive here. Say good bye the family. Before we leave village, enjoy your time to explore village then we start trekking. On the way we trek downhill and up hill, you will experience wonderful landscapes of mountainous areas. Trekking will reach Ban ArCho Nampok and Ban. Mouchee Nampok on road where we meet our driver, and then we drive back to Bountai.

Approximately: 4 hours trekking.

  • Trek start: at 8:00 am from Bountai  Tourists Office.
  • Trek end: at 5:00 pm in Bountai.

What to prepare on the trek:

  • Good hydration is a basic safety measure; make sure that you consume at least 2-3 liters of water per day. For your first day, the tour operator will provide around 2 water bottles. Please, keep always the empty bottle so you can refill the next day.
  • A good pair of shoes for walking
  • A hat or cap
  • Sunglasses
  • Mosquito repellent/Insect repellent
  • Sunscreen
  • Toilet paper
  • Your personal first Aids
  • Raincoat (in Rainy season, June-Sep)
  • Pocket money, etc.
  • Wear long pants and a T-shirt.

  • Snacks, fruit, and your own bottle of water
  • Your own medicine if you need it.
  • Sandals or flip-flops

What to Do’s & Don’ts:

  • Do not give individual gifts or money to children.
  • Ask before taking photos of people or spiritual items.
  • Help keep the trails clean by not littering.
  • Purchasing handicrafts is highly appreciated but do not purchase antiques.
  • Do not remove any archeological remains from the site of the ancient temples.
  • Always stay with the guides
  • Do not use drugs.
