Explore villages of Akha poulee, Akha cherpia and Mouchee
Itinerary:
Day 1: Bountai—tribal villages – Ban Poulee (_/L/D).
Meet our guide at Boun Tai Tourists Office, then we take our private car from Bountai to the point where our trek starts. On the way we drive and stop to visit tribal village of Akha cherpia, Akha Mouchee, and Akha Cherpia (the women in theses village still wear their daily traditional clothes). We have a good chance to enjoy the landscapes of mountainous areas on the trip. We all together will arrive at the point where our trek start. After that we start trekking from the road to village of Akha Poulee. Trek downhill and then continue uphill to the villages. Arrive at villages. Explore village and its people. Today we will spend overnight at this village.
Trekking: 2 hours, trekking level: moderate
Day 2: Ban Poulee – Ban Namkuang – back to Bountai (B/L/_).
Earlier in the morning we will explore the village; we have a good change to see local people doing their daily housework activities. After breakfast we will start our trekking; it will take 3–3.5 hours to the other village. We trek through forests and descend the small river. We reach Ban Namkuang; it is Akha Cherpia. We will explore their cultures and traditions. Picnic lunch will be arranged on the trip. After that, we continue hiking to the point where we will meet our driver. Then drive back to Bountai.
Trekking level: moderate – difficult.
- Trek start: at 8:00 am from Boun Tai Tourists Office.
- Trek end: at 5:00 pm in Bountai.
What to bring on the trek: Good shoes for trekking, good shoes for walking through small river, raincoat, warm clothes, clothes for changing, torch, insect spray, your personal first Aids

What to prepare on the trek:
- Good hydration is a basic safety measure; make sure that you consume at least 2-3 liters of water per day. For your first day, the tour operator will provide around 2 water bottles. Please, keep always the empty bottle so you can refill the next day.
- A good pair of shoes for walking
- A hat or cap
- Sunglasses
- Mosquito repellent/Insect repellent
- Sunscreen
- Toilet paper
- Raincoat (in Rainy season, June-Sep)
- Pocket money, etc.
- Wear long pants and a T-shirt.

What to Do’s & Don’ts:
- Do not give individual gifts or money to children.
- Ask before taking photos of people or spiritual items.
- Help keep the trails clean by not littering.
- Purchasing handicrafts is highly appreciated but do not purchase antiques.
- Do not remove any archeological remains from the site of the ancient temples.
- Always stay with the guides
- Do not use drugs.
